Special Projects: Youth Employment Summit (YES) The Special Projects unit aims at promoting youth employment in the Southern African region (Youth Employment Summit campaign). The following form part of the YES activities:
* Conduct a regional needs analysis
* Develop a database on youth in Southern Africa
* Develop a knowledge base on existing successful youth employment initiatives
* Introduce entrepreneurial education in secondary schools and vocational training centres
* Implement a pilot project on mentoring
* Conduct a regional training workshop for youth employment service providers
* Prepare and present the regional model for the YES (Youth Employment Summit) campaign in South Africa
